Food is halal throughout. Vegetarians can ask for daal, chana, sabzi and paratha; Lahore's food streets also have plenty of meat-free snacks.
Travelling with kids or parents
Lahore's old city is crowded: use a car between sights with children or parents. With ten or more days, add Hunza in the north (flights to Gilgit depend on the weather).
