Bangladesh packing list: what to pack, month by month

Questions
Do I need a travel adapter for Bangladesh?
Usually not: Indian plugs fit most sockets in Bangladesh (Type C/D/G). A universal adapter is still handy for the odd socket that differs.
What is the weather like in Dhaka through the year?
Roughly: January: mild (~18–25°C); February–March: warm (~25–32°C); April–June: hot (over ~32°C); July–November: warm (~25–32°C); December: mild (~18–25°C). November to February: cool, dry days, the best time for Dhaka, the tea hills and the Sundarbans.
When is the rainy season in Bangladesh?
Roughly June, July, August and September (it varies by region). In those months pack a compact umbrella, a raincoat or poncho and a waterproof pouch for your phone and papers.
Which money should I carry to Bangladesh?
A forex card and some cash in BDT for small shops, markets and tips.
How do vegetarian, Jain or vegan travellers manage food in Bangladesh?
Food is halal throughout. Vegetarians do well with bhorta (mashed vegetables), dal, khichuri and vegetable curries; ask for no fish, as fish paste is common. TripRai plans every meal of a trip around what you eat.
