Questions

Do I need a travel adapter for Spain?

Yes. Spain uses Type C/F sockets, and Indian plugs do not fit them.

What is the weather like in Madrid through the year?

Roughly: January–February: cool (~12–20°C); March–April: mild (~18–25°C); May: warm (~25–32°C); June–August: hot (over ~32°C); September: warm (~25–32°C); October: mild (~18–25°C); November–December: cool (~12–20°C). April to June and September to October: warm, sunny days without the extreme summer heat of Seville and Madrid.

Which money should I carry to Spain?

A forex card and some cash in EUR for small shops, markets and tips.

What should I wear to religious sites in Spain?

Clothes that cover shoulders and knees. On the sample itinerary: Day 4 Real Alcázar and the Cathedral with the Giralda.

How do vegetarian, Jain or vegan travellers manage food in Spain?

Tapas bars always have vegetarian options: tortilla de patatas, pimientos de padrón, patatas bravas, gazpacho and salmorejo (ask for it without ham). Halal restaurants are easy to find in Granada's Albaicín. A short food card in Spanish ("no meat, fish or egg"; for Jain food, also no onion, garlic or root vegetables) helps when ordering. TripRai plans every meal of a trip around what you eat.
